Adoption Center Donation Rewards

When you’re donating to the Adoption Center, there’s two types of rewards to choose from; Aurics, the common currency, or Shinies, a special currency only available through donations and that can be used in the Shiny Shop for extra special items.
For a single donation, you must choose one or the other. You cannot split one geno or import’s rewards between both Shinies and Aurics. However, if you are donating multiple in one claim, you may use different currencies for different genos and imports.
If you are donating an especially nice geno and want it to only be availble to new players, you can request that it be placed in the "Newbies Only" category of the Adoption Center.

The following guide details how the donation rewards are calculated for each currency.

Note: This also doubles as a guide for how to price Released genos. If you are releasing a character, use the Auric Reward payout section, and then divide the total in half to find the value of the Released geno.

Auric Rewards

 

Donation Base Reward: 1500 Aurics
This covers a Common breed, Common base coat, and Common physical traits.

Import (Already Designed): +5000 Aurics

Common (Kainu, Sprite, Mystic): 0 - Covered in Base Reward
Uncommon (Primal, Q’lin, Komakha, Zarkanta): +1000 Aurics
Rare (Nightmare, Dracus, Kelpie): +1500 Aurics
Mutt: +3000 Aurics

Crossbreeds’ Second Breed - Add to the value of the first breed above to get the full value of the crossbreed.
Common (Kainu, Sprite, Mystic): +800 Aurics

Notes about Native/Automatic Abilities:
Abilities will not be counted for rewards if they appear naturally on the Drakiri due to their breed or a trait they have. Most breeds and many Legendary genes have associated abilities to be aware of. Crossbreeds will automatically have all abilities from the breeds that make them.

Carried & Dominant Genes

If a gene appears as Dominant in the genotype, it gets double rewards and is essentially counted as 2 of its type.

If a gene is in Carried, it will receive half rewards for its type.



Faults & Penalties

If a Drakiri is inbred or otherwise has a fault, it comes with a small penalty to the value of the donation.
Note that some Drakiri may have faults or may have matching codes even if they’re not marked as Inbred or weren’t the product of an inbred breeding, so be sure to double check their codes.

Inbred Status: -1000 Aurics
Matching Fault Codes: -500 Aurics for each matching pair
Common Faults: -500 Aurics each
Uncommon Faults: -800 Aurics each
Rare Faults: -1200 per Aurics each
Legendary Faults: -3000 Aurics each



Level & Progress Rewards

These are unique rewards that apply only to designed imports that have already met certain gameplay milestones.
Rewards stack at each level. Prompt rewards also stack for each prompt completed to reward the work put into the import prior to donation.

Shiny Rewards

 

Due to how Shiny rewards are calculated, many traits will round up based on how many extra there are to make sure that as little is lost as possible. Be sure to check each section to see where the traits round up.
