The reason for the sign very quickly becomes cleat, as a large Tatzelwurm lunges out of the cave Chalkos was investigating. Angered at the intrusion on it's den, it readied for the attack. Chalkos, startled, stumbled back, as his companion jumps across the water, and starts charging a fireball spell to blast this enemy and save Chalkos's hide.
