Strawbs And Royals Rite of Endurance

Birds can be heard chirping from everywhere as two drakiri a distance aways from each other wake up embracing the beautiful and cheery morning they were starting off to. On one hand there was Royal, a beautiful purple dracus with darker purple scales and a set of gray ram horns. He wakes up to the sound of the birds but he's already ready to conquer the day, he knew what he was starting today and he knew he had to prepare. Royal wasn't sure exactly what he was preparing for but he knew he would need some food and water for the way. On the other hand there was Strawberry whom drakiri and other creatures often called Strawbs for short. She is a gorgeous… well strawberry looking drakiri, her nice red fur complimented her nice creamy-white scales and her very dark red horns. She woke up basically singing with the birds, she was always cheerful and goofy, sometimes naive if you will but she never let that damper her mood. She had a feeling in the back of her brain somewhere that today was important and that she’d need food and water but she couldn't remember why she felt that way. With a happy giddy shrug she continues on her day wandering a ways away from her small camp when she finds a path and it's almost like a light bulb lights up in her head as she remembers what she was going to do from now till finishing, she was leaving her home, going on an adventure to find one of the places that would prove to the higher ups that you too were worthy of being a higher up. Royal grabs a little leather sack and stores his food and water in it before strapping it around his neck like a necklace and following the path leading away from his home, he was leaving it definitely not for good, to find a place that the higher ups would commend him for finding. He looks back to his house and almost immediately after looking an audible oof escapes his lips as he rams into something sending him tumbling back. Next thing he knows there's a pippy voice in his ears apologizing profusely. “Oh my goodness i'm so sorry! I didn't see you there, I was looking at the birds! I didn't mean to bump into you, I hope you can forgive me, mister!” Strawbs says as she picks up the sack that had fallen off of Royal. Royal kind of chuckles at her approach as he grabs his sack putting it back over his neck with a cheeky smile on his face. “So what brings a silly drakiri like yourself to this part of my woods?” He asks as he sits down watching Strawberry curiously. Strawbs bouncy around him, booping him in the nose before sitting in front of him, her face would be uncomfortably close if it weren't for the fact that she was almost like a child. “Well, hello mister, I am Strawberry tho you can call me Strawbs! Everyone does.” she says giggling after. “I was going on my way on a big adventure to find one of the fancy places!” She says puffing her chest out like a proud explorer. A few leaves fall and one lands on her nose quickly distracting her from what she was saying as she blows it making it start drifting away from them, she wants to chase it like a dog or cat would but she knows it's probably not an appropriate time, but Royal can see Strawbs eyes darting from him to the leaf. “You're an interesting one.” He says letting out a chuckle at the strange drakiri. “I was actually going to do the same thing, you could join me if you'd like?” He asks as he stands up and turns back to where he was going, the second he did so he heard a whoosh and looked behind him to see that Strawbs had pinned the leaf to the ground. Strawbs looks up at Royal with a sheepish grin as she takes a step away from the leaf. “I would love to join you! An adventure is always more fun with a friend!” She says as she jumps up onto her feet a giddy smile on her face. Strawbs and Royal look down at the path before them and proceed to follow it, they had heard and hoped was true that this path would lead them to the beautiful oasis. As Strawberry takes a few steps she sees a beautiful public garden and squeals in excitement. “Hey new friend! Look at this garden and all the cute butterflies!!!” She squeals as she runs into the garden butterflies flying all around her. Royal shakes his head and chuckles as he watches the drakiri run off into the garden. “I’m Royal by the way, Strawberry.” he says as he follows her into the public garden. “I said you can call me Strawbs!” She shouts at him as she runs through the garden looking at each of the edible plants and such. Royal rolls his eyes a smirk on his face at his silly new companion “Got it, I’ll try to keep that in mind. We could take some of these edible plants for our journey to the oasis!” He shouts to Strawberry as he starts to pick some, putting some nice red tomatoes into his bag before grabbing more stuff, red apples, green apples, grapes, really anything that would be of edible use to them on their journey. Strawberry runs over to Royal and watches him pick some of the plants before squealing and doing the same. She grabs red, green, and yellow peppers before venturing further into the garden, grabbing some spicy peppers like habanero, jalapeno, and others. She had no clue that these were spicy at all; they just looked similar to the rest of the stuff they were grabbing. She goes all the way to the end of the garden and sees something called an Eden fruit before she picks a lot of them and puts them into her bag, they were such pretty fruit that she grabbed as many as she could, excited to eat them she bounces back over to Royal. “Hey Royal my sack is pretty full! I grabbed a lot of yummy stuff, maybe we are ready to go on our adventure!!!” She says excitedly as she bounces around the drakiri. Royal looks up at her as he closes his bag, it too was full of yummy foods that he knew were good for them to eat on their journey. Of course to make any stews or anything they would have to hunt for rabbits and whatnot. Strawberry and Royal meet up again and continue on their path towards the oasis. The greenery and animals they saw along their path was beautiful but they needed to keep going if they wanted to come home within a good time. Strawbs of course was getting distracted by literally everything and anything along the path but Royal had to keep her in check to make sure she wasn't distracted for too long, he didn’t wanna be on this adventure forever but appreciated her goofy demeanor. After a while of walking along the path it starts to turn from green to brown and then to this sandy land, they are now in a vast desert. Royal looks around but can't see a path anymore, the desert looked the same throughout with various trees and small desert plants of course, but mostly just big empty desert. Strawberry looks at Royal noticing the big empty desert as well. “At least this big empty desert bucket has cute little plants!” Strawberry says cutely! Royal chuckles as he watches Strawberry make the best of the situation. “I’m sure glad you came on this adventure with me, you're making every step of the way a lot more fun than surely how bland and boring it'd be otherwise.” He says honestly as he starts walking through the desert. Strawberry giggles as she bounces around bumping into Royal as they continue through the desert. Strawbs stomach growls and Royal looks at her raising an eyebrow, he too felt his stomach was hungry and sighs as he walks over to a tree and sits under the shade of the big big desert tree. Strawberry was still walking but noticed the presence of Royal was no longer with her and her stomach was still growling like crazy. She stops bouncing into the desert and turns around to see Royal walking over to the super huge desert tree and sitting into the shade that the tree offered. She giggles and bounces over to where Royal was sitting under the tree and joins his sitting under the tree with him and throws her bag of food onto the ground in front of him. “Taking a break to eat?” She asks with a giggle as she watches him sit his bag of stuff next to hers.
