[Trade] A rainforest?

Sprinkles is flying over the bright blue ocean. His wings are spread and gliding over the wind that has been pushing him forward. It is a very windy day today, and he felt like taking exploring to a new level and fly over the big lake, one that he has never crossed before. He is lucky the wind is blowing in his favor today. He will struggle on the way back, but if the wind does not calm down he will just wait on the new lands he will find until the weather is calmer and he is able to get back easier. His hooves softly spatter through the water, making his belly wet from the drops splashing up from it.

Far ahead of him he is able to vaguely see land. The big mountain gives it away, it is dark with the sun shining behind it. The sun is still coming up, leaving the sky in beautiful bright colors. He still stands out with his brightly colored coat with all the sparkles on it, but he does not mind. The land slowly comes better into view as the sun starts to rise. His wings start to get tired, and he can feel the muscles in them ache. He forces them to move forward and fly the last bit over the ocean. He will just rest them when he has landed. 

After a moment more he finally reaches the land and almost crashes down onto the sand beach. He lays down his head to rest and breathes in a few times. The journey was long, but when he lifts his head and looks around he notices that it was truly worth it. The landscape in front of him is absolutely beautiful. The beach he landed on stretches for as far as he can see, with rocks and palm trees scattered over it. The beach has soft white sand that stashes between his toes. He resists the urge to roll in it, because then it will be everywhere in his fur. He slowly stands up and looks to the forest in front of him. It has trees higher than any he has ever seen, and vines hang from every high branch and circle around one another. He has one time heard someone talk about something called a ’rainforest’, and this looks a lot like it. 

He slowly walks over the beach toward the rainforest looking area. When he looks into it he notices how crowded it is. Lots of plants and trees cover the ground, and animals skitter around over the floor through the fallen leaves. He even sees a snake slithering next to him up into a tree. Utterly amazed and in love with the place he walks on, only to stumble over the first tree root that rises from out of the ground. He falls face first on the ground. He lifts his head and spits out some dirt and dead leaves, only to come face to face with an enormous spider. He screams out loud, visibly scaring the spider when the thing runs away from him as fast as he does for it. He runs away and climbs halfway into a tree. His breathing is uneven as he quickly searches to see where the animal with too many eyes went and slowly breathes out when he notices it is gone.

He lowers himself from the tree and lands on the ground. He shakes some bark from his body and looks around. He really hopes there are not many of those things in here, or he will probably leave very quickly again. The animal has given him goosebumps all over his body. He shakes away his shivers and moves on. There must be some fun things to explore here, right?

The air here is burning hot. He is sweating in no time after walking for a while. He shakes it off of himself, but it is quickly replaced by another load. He puffs out some air and makes his way through the rainforest. He picks up some things along the way and stashes them in his satchel. Plants and other items that he does not know quickly fill up the satchel. He quickly feels like he is going to melt from the heat though. A lot of cursing later he finally decides to turn back and just call it a day. His satchel is full and his legs are aching. He can already feel his wings recovering from the long flight so he should be able to make it back if the wind has stopped a bit. 

He steps out of the forest, and indeed, the wind has died down a bit. It has slowed to a soft breeze that ruffles through his feathers. He secures his satchel and takes flight after a successful morning of exploring.
